Their mission is to provide shelter & services to victims of domestic violence & their children that will enable them to begin & maintain a life free of violence.

They were founded in 1992 & serve Carter, Green & Unicoi Counties.

CHIPS believes in the philosophy of Trauma Informed Care. With this philosophy, each person is viewed as an individual, & services are provided based on individual needs. Whether it is a safe place to spend the night, counseling or just someone to listen, CHIPS will be there to meet your needs. If you or someone you know is a victim of domestic violence, there is no excuse for abuse.
